You were the systole of my heart,
Imparting life to my soul,
Your presence caused me palpitations,
Absence, a heart beat did stole.
My cerebrum reminds me of the day
When we reluctantly did part,
Apoplectic, I was immobile,
The shock stopped my heart.
The incisions of your memory
Your laughter, your voice,
Left me Parkinson faced,
Never in my life to rejoice.
Even after decades of evolution
Years of forced separation
You are still present in my dreams
In every bead of lacrimation.
In each thought you dwell
Alive in my every act
Only death can now make us part
That is our eternal pact.
Wow...giving me a different perspective on my issues.
