SANDS OF TIME - PART 3 (A PAGE FROM HIS DIARY)

I have been asked to write a Part 3 to the story. As there is nothing I can honestly add, I present you with a page from his diary, written during his times of turmoil.

"As days go by, trees change clothes, birds fly to newer lands, the days get warmer, the clock ticks off another slice off a man's life, but wait is all I do.

Long ago, the length of time does not matter, the moon had been smiling, and the stars were in the right order, when men were blind and Gods were sleeping, at that moment I had been the king.
'Life flew and left behind a handful of feathers.' Sun arose and men saw light, Gods broke their slumber as they did my dream.

Now whenever I close my eyes, my dream lingers, stars shine again, sparkling at the corner of my eyes, etching a course for future dreams, erasing the past wound, and cleansing my soul.

Now, as I stand on the land, my knees do not shake, neither with excitement nor with fear, my hands are steady and my eyes fixed, my feet carry me firmly, my spine erect, as I walk towards aimlessness.

And I wait, not for a desire, nor for fulfillment, but for release."

  3. I am just speechless......
you won't believe me,i read it 5 times and every time i read ,i feel so emotional,it brings tears in my eyes.
There is everything, one experience in their life, feeling of joy, happiness, desire to fulfill dreams, feelings of wounded heart, which has healed, but left the scar behind.
And then one has reach to that cleansing stage of life, which is not easy to reach,...

    wow...amazing...i love it...

    thanks for this brilliant work....

  4. great post....you're very consistent on the emotion imparted in the story. well appreciated because seldom for a man express and share their thoughts yet you put it into writing.

now you have giving others the message of passion and life.....
