Many times when I travel, I see tourists who take a lot of pictures as I do, some even scratching their names on the monuments or trees to proclaim that they were there (something I have never liked or done). One of the places mentioned in the tourist guide to Mcleodganj was the Church of St John in the Wilderness. Besides taking the pictures, I had a sudden urge to sing. When I told the others about it, they said there were no hymn books. So I decided that they should sing a hymn known to most of us - Aaj ka din Yehovah ne banaya hai (This is the day that the Lord has made). What followed was a choir led by Mr.Jaideep and a short message and prayer by Mr.Stephen. Sometimes as they say, God leads in mysterious ways. Many who had come to see the place as tourist spot realised that they were in a place of God and that there were people worshiping there.

ReplyDeleteIt remembered me my school days,
"Our father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done.
On earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our debts
As we have forgiven our debtors;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
And the power,
And the glory,
Forever."
Amen!!
